Dear Members,
After getting Overall Champion in Division 3 Table Tennis last year, St. Louis has just got the title of Overall Champion in Division 2 this morning after a match against Wah Yan Kowloon. That means our school will be promoted to Division 1 next year. We are now among the top players in Hong Kong as there are only around 12 schools in Division 1.
Although the honour goes to the boys, it is the result of three continuous years of non-stop effort of two old boys, Dominic Leung and Vincent Lai together with the help of our teacher Mr. Andy Lo. Without their expert coaching, planning and organising, all these would have been impossible. It not to under-estimate the significance of a group of old school team players such as Teddy Kwong, Raymond Lui and Stanley Lo in advising our school team with their invaluable practical experience.
I have to pay my highest tribute to all of them as this shows an example of team work of the highest level among teachers, students and old boys. Given the limited resources we have, the achievement we got has far exceeded my expectation. I can only attribute our success to our fighting spirit.
