I refer to my email to you all on 1 June 2016. As mentioned, an appeal was lodged to the Board of Directors by the unsuccessful candidate on 30 May 2016 against the Alumni Manager election result.
On 30 May 2016, the Board of Directors appointed 3 directors to form an ad-hoc committee (“Committee”) to conduct an investigation into the appeal in accordance with article 66.31. The Committee reviewed the 4 grounds of appeal revealed in the appeal letter, considered all relevant documents and correspondences, and interviewed the relevant officers of SLOBA who conducted the Alumni Manager election. An investigation report was compiled and submitted to the Board of Directors on 6 June 2016.
On the same date, the Board of Directors considered and adopted the report submitted by the Committee. The Board of Directors resolved that the aforesaid appeal be dismissed and the election result be held valid. The Board of Directors would formally nominate Mr. PAK Yiu Charn Patrick to be registered as the Alumni Manager of the Incorporated Management Committee of St. Louis School under section 40AP of the Education Ordinance.
The investigation report would be placed at the SLOBA office for members’ inspection starting from 8 June 2016. Appointment should be made with SLOBA’s Administrator (Ms Charity Cheung) before inspection. Please note that only registered voters are eligible to inspect the investigation report. Members are not allowed to make copies or take photos of the report.
